| Throughout 1993 to 1997 Co-ordSport progressed its development of the Mitsubishi Lancer RS Evolutions. Shinozuka finished 2nd overall on the 1994 & 1995 Safari Rallies, driving Group A Lancers, with support from Ralliart and Co-ordSport mechanics. Whilst the car has won Group N of various events in the UK & Europe, and Miyoshi finished runner up in the 1994 European Rally Championship for Group N, driving a Co-ordSport prepared Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
Meanwhile back in the UK during 1994, Co-ordSport ran and maintained a Group A Mitsubishi Galant for Steve Hill (Ken 06 - the car used by Shinozuka to win the 1991 Ivory Coast rally). the team finished 4th in the National Rally Championship, a fine result for Steve's first drive in a Group A car and after a two year lay off from competition. Steve progressed to drive Group A Lancer in 1996, finishing 2nd in the Championship and winning outright the final event in the series.
Co-ordSport now concentrates on the sales of base cars and parts, also the co-ordination and management of customers' teams and cars. We are able to assist teams develop not only their cars, but also their team infrastructure. We help the teams to source the most competitive parts and services, at the best possible prices, Meaning they can perform to their maximum, within their budget limits. Teams supported by Co-ordSport include The Petronas EON Racng Team, whose driver, Karamjit Singh, became 2002 FIA Production Car World Champion, driving a Proton PERT (Evolution 6). Also Team Mitsubishi Motor Sport America, who gave the Lancer Evolution VIII its world-wide competition debut in January 2003 with the two team cars finishing 1st and 4th.
The Proton Group N cars are built and run by Mellors Elliot Motorsport (MEM). Whilst the American Open Class cars were built by MEM, but run by Vermont Sportscar. Both firms being prominent players in Co-ordSport's world-wide partnerships.
