Group N Proton Satria has new parts FIA homologated :-)

Our good friends at both Proton Motorsport and Cusco confirmed the homologation of the latest VO parts for the Proton Satria Neo 1.6FWD. These parts can be viewed on the copy papers here and here.

The extra good news is that the Cusco team promptly went out with the new parts on their team cars in the Rally of Malaysia and promptly were the fastest cars in their category (no mean feat in the tough, hot and humid conditions of the Malaysian plantations).

Utility Companies – Are you being overcharged ?!

Here at Co-ordSport we try to be honest law abiding citizens, don’t mind paying for services and we pay our taxes. We find it a real game to negotiate with power companies every year, and had a major battle to switch away from British Gas a couple of years ago (they pulled every trick in the book to stop us transferring to EON and delayed the switch for so long, that EON would no longer offer the original deal, which was much, much cheaper than BG – in the end we just wanted to switch whatever the price, to stop BG having the business, they clearly didn’t deserve it, having no respect for us as a customer).

Anyway, we were frustrated to be paying such high water rates to South Staffs Water – the water we used was only around £130-p.a. (tea making, washing-up, toilets/hand-washing and the odd car cleaning) yet we were being charged just under £1,000-p.a. for surface drainage. Despite being in this building for 3 years, we had never checked the area we were being charged for – have now checked it and despite being charged in the band of 1500~1999m2, we are actually only around 680m2 – so turns out we should only be paying around £400-p.a. and that has been verified by a Severn Trent Inspector.

I know many of you like to negotiate when you’re buying special and regular parts for your cars, so I hope you do the same with the utility companies!

Forester SH5 Diesel – Cusco Strut Brace Fitted

Cusco front strut brace fitted to Euro spec Subaru Forester Diesel (SH5 model). We weren’t sure about fitment of Japanese spec. part to EU model, but clearly it is a good fit, and here is the evidence!

Part No. 692 540 A
That owner, has now ordered the lower type II brace and we assume other Jap spec. parts will fit without problem (braces, anti-roll bars, LSDs, suspension)
