We purchased two Suzuki Swift Sport cars to use for our latest development projects; a new 2009 Swift that is being used as a road car tuning project and a 2008 Swift that is being stripped out and made into a track day project. Both cars feature the M16A engines (1.6 litre, naturally-aspirated DOHC VVT 4-cylinder) and have the chassis code ZC31S (also known as ZA31S).
These cars will be developed over different stages of tuning, gradually perfecting them into super fast and well handling top performers.
We have been involved with a range of our partners to develop new parts, including engine upgrades and exhaust systems for the Swift and attended the PMW 2009 show in Cologne, Germany to unveil a range of parts to be homologated for use in Group-R motorsports events; allowing drivers to upgrade to R1, R2 and R3 stages.

The Projects
Road Car Project
With our road car project Swift we are developing a range of new parts as well as parts in our current catalogue of parts, including an AP Racing brake kit, carbon induction kit, full stainless steel Piper exhaust system, Cusco suspension upgrades, including strut braces and much more. Visit our blog for a full list of Swift upgrades.
The aim is to get the most performance out of the Swift while still maintaining ride quality and ease of driving.
Track Day Project
For the track project, we are currently building an 85mm big bore engine (approximately 1.9L), which will incorporate the following parts:
- Wiseco 85mm forged pistons
- K1 Technologies forged connecting rods
- Cometic 85mm multi-layered steel head gasket
- Jenvey single throttle body
- Piper stainless steel 4-branch exhaust manifold and sports cat
Other parts will be fitted and developed such as lightweight flywheels, uprated clutches, Cusco LSDs and roll cages and much more.
We will also be dyno-testing the engine with different camshaft options to confirm the best options for different setups, such as road and serious competition, etc.
Group-R Concept-Car
In conjunction with our partners, Cusco, we attended the PMW 2009 show in Cologne, Germany to unveil a range of parts to be homologated for use in Group-R motorsports events; allowing drivers to upgrade to R1, R2 and R3 stages.
The main target was to produce a vehicle with which all drivers, newcomers through to veterans, can enjoy motorsport broadly - in different forms, in all areas of the world.
Currently this part of our project has stalled as we have not been successfull in getting Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan to homologate parts for use in Group-R events. Sign up to our mailing list to keep updated on the projects and on news regarding homologation.
