CSCC Tin Tops

Fabulous weekend

We didn’t want to miss this round and had a great time at Snetterton. We are happy to be back to some sort of normality and see the organisers are handling the come back really well and Covid advice taking seriously. We took some great pictures and sponsoring some of the great drivers. More to to come with their bio and more images.

Here is a video of the CSCC Tin Tops opener at Thruxton Race Circuit that was put together by Mark Peters at

Tin Tops Opener video Congratulations to Andrew Windmill for taking the chequered flag, followed up by the father and son duo Colin & Steve Simpson with second place. Not far behind were another father and son team David & Tom Hutchins who achieved 3rd place respectively. Last Saturday was the 2nd race in the CSCC Co-ordSport Tin Tops series at the Snetterton Circuit in the 300 format. The weather was overcast and dry for qualifying but after only a few laps in everyone was red flagged back to the pits because fluid was down between turn 1 & 2. When the circuit was made safe everyone made a last dash to get a good lap time in.This time a car from Class C took pole: Richard Wheeler / Mike Bushall in a Ford Fiesta ST close behind was Nigel Anige / Danny Casser in a Honda Integra Type R followed by Thruxton’s winner Andrew Windmill in his Honda Civic Type R. This race looked like it would to be a wet start but it cleared up very quickly for the strong 38 car grid to make rolling start. The first 3 laps we had 2 and 3 cars abreast at each and every corner with positions changing on every lap with some cars getting in each other’s way making for some very close racing while others started to build up a gap . This being the second race of the season a few cars still had some niggles to overcome and we lost a few cars even before the pit window had opened. The last car to make the mandatory pit stop was Andrew Windmill he had stayed out making the most of a clear track in front of him to gain as much time has possible because of a time penalty of 30 seconds for winning the last round. After the pit window had closed and everyone was back out on the circuit we could now see the leader of the pack Danny Casser now behind the wheel of the Hillwood Integra type R and took his first win of the season with Nigel Ainge as the second driver.
