EMCOS Rally: Co-ordSport Stages 2010

Co-ordSport are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the 2010 EMCOS Rally. The ‘Co-ordsport Stages 2010’ is a multi-use stage rally to be held at the popular Down Ampney venue near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.

The rally will see a range of vehicles competing, where they hope to run at least 8 stages with approximately 50 competitive miles on a mixture of smooth and broken areas of concrete with the minimum of artificial chicanes to keep the stages flowing.

The Organisers are themselves competitors and have striven to put together a highly competitive day’s motorsport, conducted in a friendly and social atmosphere.

Due to the successful and over-subscribed rally in 2009, which saw Gary Le Coadou and Paul Hollingham take their 3rd consecutive win, EMCOS have decided to keep the entry fee as low as possible at only £5 over the 2009 entry fee, in order to reflect the increase in MSA insurance costs. The entry for 2010 will be only £175 which represents exceptional value for stage rallying.

The rally will be in memory of June Aslin from Forest Radio Club, who sadly passed away in 2009. June was deeply involved in motorsport for over 30 years as a marshall and an RAC accredited timekeeper, pioneering the use of safety radios within rallying.
