The Kumho Tyres shod Swift pairing are aiming to take no less than the 1400 honours next weekend, when they will be tackling the Event Signs Woodpecker Stages Rally on Saturday 5th September which they took the 1400 victory on last year. The event, starting in Ludlow, Mid Wales is a counting round of the BTRDA Kick Start 1400 Rally Championship, of which Mark Gamble & his co-driver; Steve Link last competed in the Plains Rally back in May, where they led the first stage until they unfortunately retired with a mechanical issue. The Cusco & Part Box backed driver will be using the same car as he used on the Plains earlier in the year, which has undergone more development since then, and there and there are also plans for additional developments in the pipeline too. The car is still running the standard engine, but after their performance on the first stage of the Plains, it shows they can still be highly competitive.

Mark’s Comments:

“I am looking forward to being back out in the hot seat, it’s been a while since the Plains, and we are aiming for the 1400 win again this year. We’ve done a few developments with the car, and hope to put our Plains troubles behind us and get right on the pace from the word go again.” After the Woodpecker, Mark plans to enter the Tempest Rally, as its an event he has always ran very well on, while the he continues to make plans for the 2016 season, with the options of either continuing with Rallying, or turning his head to a season of Rallycross.
