Powerflex NL2024-12 MK3 Ford Focus RS /ST Steering Rack Bushes

 

As spring sets in across Europe, the mild temperatures and long days is perfect for spirited drives in the countryside, that stretches the legs of hot hatches including the MK3 Ford Focus ST and RS. Fast, windy, undulating roads requires poise and precision, something that the Focus as new had in abundance.

Fast forward to 8-12 years, and with age and general wear and tear, the OE rubber steering rack bushes that mount the rack to the front subframe, can perish and soften that causes vague steering where this means a less than-enjoyable or confidence-inspiring drive.

With bushes that are not being available separately from Ford and the price of a new steering rack being an eye-watering £1000 + vat, this week Powerflex are please to announce the release of their new PFF19-1809 Steering Rack Mounting Bush.

It is made from their stiffer Black 95A durometer material, that provides a perfect balance of compliance, durability and performance, helping to restore steering precision, feel and straight-line accuracy. Fitting the bushes can be a laborious and costly process because of the positioning of the steering rack.

The new parts are in addition to their previous released range of suspension bushes and engine/transmission mounting products for the MK3 Focus
